Easter Morning

This isn’t an Easter photo. Jerry actually took it one morning a few years ago during the first spring we’d ever spent in our house. It was one of those photographic moments with the light falling across our breakfast grapefruit and coffee, and Jerry racing off to get his camera for an image he couldn’t resist. I’ve always loved this picture—something about the light triggers a sense of possibility in me. I, like my husband, am a devout believer in great light. I decided this was a perfect photograph to post on this morning of rebirth and renewal.

Happy Easter, happy Passover, happy spring. Galileo once described wine as “light held together by moisture.” How true. To that, I would add that a new spring morning is like light held together by wonder.
